About the role

The Discipline Lead - Occupational Therapy provides clinical and operational leadership to the Occupational Therapy team with the aim to enhance practice and performance outcomes, ensure best practice, and create service delivery efficiency. The position is pivotal in leading cohealth's Occupational Therapy service redesign work in preparation for industry changes through the Support at Home program. The Disciple Lead - Occupational therapy is a newly created position that sits within the Allied Health leadership team. A portion of this role (0.2) will be apportioned to clinical work. The Discipline Lead will work across multiple sites where Occupational Therapists are based.

Your duties include:

  • Facilitating communities of practice, clinical supervision, reflective practice and workplace coaching interventions, in accordance with cohealth's supervision policy
  • Supporting evidence-based practice
  • Adopting adult learning strategies to support discipline wide development skills and service delivery

Our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Sector and Aged Care Reforms
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in Occupational Therapy
  • Extensive leadership experience of a medium sized team
  • Willing to travel across cohealth sites
  • Full Victorian Driver's License

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
